This was one of the first photos I took in Santiago, Chile. It was hours after I’d landed and I was lying under the autumn sun in the grass in a park area by the Mapocho River (which is, in fact, a pretty pitiful river. It’s more like a small stream). Right then, I felt like I was where I belonged. The city fit me perfectly, like a shoe especially crafted to fit my foot. The day I left, I started planning my return and I’m beyond ecstatic to go back in less than three months. ~- Bronwyn Scott-McCharen, bronwinning
